"Each type of geography are connected and can effect us and each other"
For years, humans have been living on Earth. We need the Earth for many things like natural resources, food, a living and many more things. You see, Earth is a very important thing to us and geographers study it. Geographers study the human and non- human features of Earth but the main thing that they study is how humans affect each type of geography and each other.
There are three different types of geography. Environmental geography, physical geography and human geography. They are all connected to one another because they can effect each another. This shows that each type of geography is important and can not exist without the other.
Environmental geography is basically the effects of what us humans do to the environment. For example: Pollution, deforestation, use of land for settlements. This can connect to human geography which mostly focuses on settlements and economic activities (primary, secondary and tertiary). Human settlements can affect the environment by population growth, travel and transport, energy consumption (e.g. fossil fuels).
The important thing about human geography and the environment is that it depends on what type of settlement it is. Settlements are needed for many things from a living, a source of income, industries and many more things. Everyone has a settlement. Settlements can be chosen by weather, climate and the main purpose of the building (economic activity). For example, you want your settlement to be an industry then it can effect the environment when it releases chemicals into the air. The environment can also be a problem for industries if the scene is in a city which is most likely to happen because the industry can not expand making the city cramped (nucleated).
We should also remember that we can change the purpose of the settlement. Especially if its a farm turning into a factory. When this happens, people usually destroy the surrounding usually for expansions or destroying the farm. This can effect nearby places like bays (linear) or the areas surroundings (probably dispersed or nucleated) due to deforestation and pollution.
Here we can now understand that each type of geography can effect each other in a very effective way. Everything about geography are actually summarised into these three categories. We can see that they connect by putting the three types of geography into a statement like this : "Geography is about how humans effect the physical environment". So physical, environmental and human geography is actually one thing which is geography. The three types are just geography broken up to pieces. Geography is something amazing and important so lets take care of the Earth keep everything as one.
